The Cass County Arts Alliance will be hosting Artrageous this year on April 20 at Angie’s Catering and Cakes at 1007 17th St. This event is a dinner, followed by an outstanding art auction and live music brought to us by Barefoot Murphy. Local artists, business persons and friends of the arts have been gracious in donating art work in various mediums, including paintings, jewelry and sculpture. This year we will have an exciting twist with our pink flamingoes which have been artistically decorated by many people around the community and will be placed for auction with all proceeds going back to the arts of Cass County, including the Performing Arts Council and Civic Players of Logansport. Join us for a fun and exciting evening. Please call 735-ARTS with any questions and to reserve individual or corporate tables.

Cass County boasts a long heritage of quality arts programming. From touring art exhibits and performers to the work of local artisans, visitors and residents alike have come to enjoy the variety of local art fare within the setting of small town U.S.A.

The Cass County Arts Alliance was established in 1998 to advocate for and build upon this rich heritage. By building awareness, promoting events, and raising money, CCAA acts as an umbrella group for these arts partners:

Civic Players of Logansport

Logansport Jr. Civic Theater

Performing Arts Council of Logansport

CCAA hosts two major cultural events each year:

Med Flory Jazz and Blues Festival - A two- day festival celebrating Logansport native and Grammy Award winner Med Flory and America’s original art form, jazz music.

To all Artists that participated in the 2011 Art on the Avenue:

Supporting the art show enables artists to continue creating and the library to continue offering a variety of cultural programs to our patrons. Join us as we celebrate the beauty of art in many forms.

Our emphasis is on quality arts events and nothing of quality comes about without the support of dedicated volunteers and willing financial donors. If you would like to become a volunteer or make a monetary donation, please call the CCAA office at 574-735-2787.

“Art is a nation’s most precious heritage . For it is in our works of art that we reveal to ourselves and to others the inner vision which guides us as a nation. And where there is no vision, the people perish.” Lyndon Johnson, on signing into existence the National Endowment on the Arts.
